Opalz Powder Coating has been developed in conjunction with Interpon, who are the world's largest manufacturer of powder coatings, and Carter Holt Harvey who one of Australia's largest manufacturers of medium density fibreboard (MDF).

Opalz Powder Coatings have been extensively tested and the tests completed include those set out above in the performance comparison. Testing has been carried out in the NATA registered laboratories of both Interpon and Carter Holt Harvey.

Opalz Powder Coating is recommended for internal use only.

APPEARANCE: excellent coverage on all surfaces and the MDF base is not visible to the eye. When the powder coated surface is examined under an oblique angle of approximately 60 degrees, from a distance of 2 metres, there is no evidence of roughness, blistering, inclusions, pits, bulges, opaque areas, scratches or other defects.

GLOSS (in accordance with ISO 2813 with incident light to 60 degree): the finish is classified as a matt finish.

THICKNESS OF COATING LAYER (in accordance with ISO 2360): Thickness on exposed surface – minium of 100 microns.

ADHESION (according to ISO 2409): result = 0.
